When you buy a set of playing cards, you will typically have a choice of what «index» to get. This index refers to the size of the numbers on the picture of the cards. There are a number of different kinds of index available, but the most common choices are between Jumbo and Regular (or Standard) index.
Regular index cards are the baseline that other cards are measured by. These cards have the numbers proportional to the overall card design, and are the classic design that many people are familiar with using for decades.

There are also specialty cards out there for «Low Vision» or other designs that are good for older individuals where reading the smaller numbers becomes a problem.
Decide which index is appropriate for you and make sure to get the right set the next time you buy a deck of playing cards. Each may serve a specific purpose, or may simpy be a personal preference. Most high quality plastic playing cards like KEM and COPAG come in both Regular and Jumbo index.
