OK. Through the first 3 parts of this epic saga we’ve taken a glance at checktable operations on a simple heap(with no indexes), a simple clustered index (no additional indexes). Let’s take a look at a heap with a nonclustered index!
The results below look vaguely familiar. 6456 total pages used. Starting at 6464 OLEDB wait events for maxdop 1 and 2. Up to 6471 OLEDB wait events at maxdop 8. In the image below I’ve also circled a few of the OLEDB wait_ms numbers from system and session level wait DMVs. Circled because today is the first day I’ve noticed differences in the numbers — although I’ve yet to see a difference greater than 1 ms. Still — as far as I’m concerned even a difference of 1 ms is a hint that *maybe* session and system level waits are tracked separately rather than a single source that updates both of the views.
Now — if we change to running without physical_only, will we get some multiple of the table row count, since there is a nonclustered index? Recall that the clustered index sustained nearly four times the row/page count as the number of OLEDB waits in a checktable without physical_only.
Nope. Just a small incremental additional number of OLEDB wait events, starting at 6519 and working up to 6526. Huh.
All right. What if we use a heap with a nonclustered include index? Based on the table a nd in dex definition below, I expect the nonclustered include index nci_OLEDB_TEST_HEAP_NCI_INCLUDE to be remarkably similar to the clustered index we previously used.
Let’s proceed with 8 physical_only checktable operations.
How’s it look? Pretty familiar. 12865 pages in use, a small overhead gets us 12909 to 12916 OLEDB wait events.
Ok, now 8 checktable operations without the physical_only option.
And there’s that really large jump in OLEDB wait events as the checktable operation drops the physical_only operation.
Checktable OLEDB Waits Part III — the more things change, the more. wait, WAT?!
OK. We’ve seen some stuff with a simple heap. Let’s trade in the heap for a clustered index with the same row values.
The clustered index uses a few more pages — that makes sense. More structure to maintain for a clustered index than for a heap.
So let’s perform the physical_only checktable operations on OLEDB_TEST_CLINDEX. Based on the previous results, we’ll expect the number of OLEDB wait events to be close to the number of pages in the clustered index. And we expect OLEDB session waits to not update for MAXDOP 2 or 1, even though instance level OLEDB waits will update.
How do the results match our expectations? Pretty well. OLEDB_TEST_HEAP used 6408 pages, and OLEDB waits started at 6428 for MAXDOP 1 and MAXDOP 2, increasing by one for each increase in MAXDOP from 3 to 8. OLEDB_TEST_CLINDEX used 6438 pages, and OLEDB waits start at 6458 for MAXDOP 1 and 2, and increase by one for each increase in MAXDOP from 3 to 8.
All right. Let’s move on to removing the physical_only parameter. With OLEDB_TEST_HEAP we saw a minimal change in the number of OLEDB wait events between a checktable with and without physical_only.
So how do the results match with expectations? Whoa!! 25745 OLEDB wait events as the starting point for MAXDOP 1 and 2. Then single-stepping up to 25752 OLEDB wait events for MAXDOP 8. 25752 is exactly 4 times the used page count of 6438 for the clustered index. So the OLEDB wait events went from a small number more than the count of pages/rows with the heap. to almost 4 times as many with the clustered index. *That* was a bit unexpected.

When the browsers are reset, you need to ensure that your browser will connect the right DNS while connecting to the web page you need. Create a text file titled “hosts” on your pc’s desktop, then open it and fill it with the following lines 2 :
Find the hosts.txt file in C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc directory. Rename this file to “hosts.old.txt” (to distinguish it from the new one), and then move the file you created on the desktop to this folder. Remove the hosts.old from this folder. Now you have your hosts file as good as new.
Scan your system for possible viruses
After removing the Wait4download push notifications, it’s time to see if these pop-ups brought any threat to your system. Launch GridinSoft Anti-Malware, and then click on Standard scan. It will be enough in most cases to find and remove malware. The scan will last 5-10 minutes; you are free to use your system during that process.

What this means is that augments you used to write off as being completely useless might actually be the best augments now.

What Are Augments in TFT
Before anything, it’s crucial that we go through what exactly augments are in TFT so you can better understand the importance of picking the TFT best augments. Now, augments in Teamfight Tactics are permanent bonuses that are added to the player’s hexcore.
Every player is offered three choices of augments in stages 1-4, 3-3, and 4-6. During each choice, players must select one out of three augments. Every augment also has a rarity (silver, gold, or prismatic). Naturally, the higher the rarity, the lower the probability of getting a specific augment.

This means that some of your favorite augments from previous sets might not have made the list because of them getting nerfed.
Wise Spending
First up on the list is Wise Spending. Now, the best thing about this augment is that it stops you from having to purchase levels. Why? Well, what this augment does is it makes it so that every time you refresh your shop, you get EXP. Therefore, you can spend less money on purchasing levels, and more on buying things that have a higher chance of making more of a difference in the match.
However, one major tip we have for you guys is that you should disable the level up hotkey if you want to use this augment. This is because of the fact that every time you get the choice between pressing the level button and rolling, you ALWAYS want to roll. This way you’ll be able to upgrade your board all the while leveling up. However, if you accidentally press the level-up button on instinct, you might miss out on upgrades.
March of Progress
With Wise Spending out of the way, it’s only natural to move to the next experience related augment on this list, March of Progress. With this augment, you no longer have to worry about spending any money on leveling your troops up. Actually, it would be better to say that you CAN’T spend your money to level up your troops.
That’s right, with March of Progress, you’ll lose your ability to purchase experience, and instead, you’ll gain experience naturally. With this augment, you can focus all your attention on using your gold at the shop.
Spoils of War (Legend)
Up next is an augment that isn’t related to experience at all. Instead, Spoils of War increases the chance of all enemies dropping loot when defeated by a set percentage. This percentage can be as low as 25% or as high as 45% depending on the rarity of the augment you get.
With this augment, players that have a strong start in matches will see the most benefit. This is because Spoils of War can very easily allow players to snowball out of control and hit economic thresholds early into the game. You can also very easily push for level 4 or even 5 before the stage 2 carousel. Pair this up with some of the other augments on this list and you should be able to smoothly sail through most matches with a victory.
Rolling For Days (Legend)
Oh, you don’t think you’ll be able to make a strong level 8 board in the game? Well, might we introduce you to Rolling for Days, an augment that can grant you up to 35 free shop refreshes? What’s more is that these shop refreshes carry over between rounds, which means you can either use them up straight away or wait for the perfect opportunity.
Additionally, you could take this augment as a win condition to hit an uncontested 3 star 4 cost unit, though even without it players can really take advantage of the benefits this augment gives. Just be sure you know how critical strike works in TFT to really get some damage in.
Tiny Titans
Now, Tiny Titans, along with the next entry in this list, have been staples of TFT for as long as we can remember, and as such, it’s only right to include them. Tiny Titans is an augment that gives your Tactician extra health. With it, it’s possible for you to exceed the 100 maximum health, which as you can imagine, is a major boon to have.
However, with that said, it’s also possible to get this augment early on, though we won’t recommend it. The reason for this is that, although you’ll have the extra health, you won’t have any firepower to make use of that extra health. Therefore, it might be a better idea to take this specific augment in the later couple of rounds. Of course, at the end of the day, it all depends on your playstyle and where this augment first in it.
Metabolic Accelerator
The second augment that has been a staple of the TFT game for a while is Metabolic Accelerator. This augment also affects your Tactician, and this time it makes it so not only does your Tactician move faster in carousel rounds, but also heals 2 health after a PvP round. Now, we understand that 2 Health might sound underwhelming at first, but hear us out.
If you’re loss streaking, this augment will let you stay relatively healthy. This unexpected health also helps you transition into a capable board with it being at 40HP at wolves, or even less if someone hits dragons. Basically, by taking advantage of this augment you’re almost always guaranteed to finish at least in the top 4, even if, by all accounts, you SHOULD have died way earlier.
Pandora’s Bench
This augment might not be Pandora’s Box, but when you hear what it does, it might as well be that. With this augment, at the start of each turn, champions on your bench are randomized. This only applies to the champions in your 3 rightmost bench slots, and they always transform to random champions of the same cost.
However, by using this augment, you get incredible odds of getting not only gold but also good units in exchange for units you might not like. Say you have an 8 or 10 cost unit. Because of the fact that the pools of units for those costs are so small, you’ll be very likely to get the exact unit you want. Of course, there’s also the risk of you losing, but hey, that’s TFT for you.
Balanced Budget (Legend)
Regardless of whether you’re behind or ahead of other players in terms of health or temp, the Balanced Budget augment will help you get ahead of the curve in terms of economy by providing you with some extra gold. This extra gold can be used to get yourself to level 8 on 4-2 a lot of the time by buying it as a second augment. This is especially true if you pair it with a good first augment like, say, Spoils of War.
With that being said, just how much gold does this augment provide you with? Well, you can get up to 12 gold and at least 5 gold at the start of the next 4 rounds. It won’t be raining gold, but it’ll be enough to give you a competitive advantage at least.
